About me
Counselling was not my initial career, I have worked in many different industries.
This and my own personal life experience has given me the understanding and appreciation of fellow human experience I needed to engage with the difficulties people face, helping them to gain insight into their automatic responses which affects their beliefs and behaviours, further supporting them to build resilience to change what they want to change and live peacefully with what they cannot.
I have experience in many different human settings including domestic violence, intimidation, abuse, terminal illness, life limiting illness, bereavement, poverty, debt, sexuality, depression, anxiety, mental illness and disability.
I work with children, young people and adults. I am governed by and a member of the BACP and adhere to their Ethical Framework of practice. I have monthly supervision and undertake CPD on an annual basis, it is a requirement but I also enjoy training.
